Day 1
Arrival in Lisbon international airport, meet our represantative at the airport, and transfer to your hotel, after a short breif information about your tour, you will have the afternoon free to relax or to discover Lisbon on your own, overnight stay in Lisbon.
Day 2
After breakfast we will provide a half day tour to main historical sites dof Lisbon. Depart from your hotel and drive to Rossio, the very heart of Lisbon. Alfama, the oldest and most picturesque quarter (stop for a wine tasting in a handicraft store). Then a drive along the River-Side to admire Black Horse Square, crossing the Bridge over Tagus river, with stops at Belém Tower and at the Monument to the Discoveries. Next is Jerónimos Monastery (guided tour of the church, one of the most beautiful in Europe) and the Coach Museum (the world's largest collection of coaches) (both closed on Mondays, replaced by Ajuda Palace or Fundação Medeiros).
Day 3
In the morning you will depart from Lisbon and drive up north to Óbidos, a medieval symbol of narrow streets with surrounding walls. In Alcobaça, you will
visit the Church of the 12 th c. monastery, with the tombs of Pedro and Inês. Journey on to the fishing port of Nazaré. Then Batalha - visit to the Monastery
- and Fátima, renowned as the world's pilgrimage centre, reflecting the faith of thousands of pilgrims. Final stop in Leiria with dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4
Visit to the Roman historical site of Conímbriga. Then see the forests of Buçaco and Aveiro, the city of canals. Dinner and overnight stay in Porto.
Day 5
Tour of Porto, the 2nd city of Portugal and UNESCO world heritage sight. You will see an amphitheatre and discover the riverside areas, old houses, palaces, churches and get a chance to sip Port wine, known worldwide. Afternoon free. Dinner and overnight stay in Porto.
Day 6
Minho, the northeast province of Portugal. Guimarães, birthplace of the nation - with a stop at the Castle of Duques of Bragança. Braga, city of archbishops and
the country's religious capital with the oldest cathedral of Portugal and the sanctuary of Jesus with its monumental baroque staircase. Passing by Barcelos,
town of the legendary rooster, you will see lush greenery. Dinner and overnight stay in Porto.
Day 7
You will drive through a landscape speckled with granite houses with wooden and wrought-iron balconies. You will stop at Amarante and Vila Real where you
will visit the Gardens of the Palace of Mateus. Then you will enter the Port Wine region, known as the Douro Valley. In this mountainous area lies Viseu - a city of warriors and painters. Dinner and overnight stay in Urgeirica.
Day 8
Drive to the heart of Portugal. The beauty of the Estrela Mountain Range, the highest point of the country, is a world of shepherds watching after their
flocks. You will visit Castelo Branco, with its lovely gardens and staircases of the kings. Beautiful Castelo de Vide, proud of its Jewish quarter of whitewashed houses. Dinner and overnight stay in Castelo de Vide.
Day 9
Going southward, through hills of green and golden plains, you will find Estremoz and its marble quarries. In Évora, an UNESCO World Heritage site, you will have a walking tour of the living museum town. Dinner and overnight stay in Evora.
Day 10
Free morning. In the afternoon a journey southward, passing by Beja and Silves. Dinner and overnight stay in Alvor.
Day 11
Algarve is famous for old legends of bewitching moorish maidens and the call of the sea that led to the discovery of the New Worlds. Visits to Lagos and the Promontory of Sagres - the symbol of the Portuguese epic. The afternoon will be an opportunity to take a dip in the warm sea. Dinner and overnight
stay in Alvor.
Day 12
A last look at this zone nestling among land, sea and sky. The return trip will be made through Setúbal and along the coast of the Arrábida Mountain Range.
Final destination is Lisbon.
Day 12
After breakfast according to your flight time we will provide a transfer from you hotel to the international airport.
